A 40kWh high voltage battery system has been successfully installed in Vietnam, delivering stable power supply, high efficiency, and long-term reliability. The project integrates Deye high-voltage inverter technology with a modular high voltage battery architecture, forming a compact and scalable energy storage solution tailored for regions facing grid instability and rising electricity costs.
This installation demonstrates how high voltage batteries, combined with intelligent system design, can provide superior performance for residential and light commercial energy storage applications across Southeast Asia.
The system consists of eight 5kWh high voltage battery modules stacked vertically to form a total 40kWh battery capacity. The configuration includes high voltage battery modules, a dedicated high voltage control box, and a Deye HV inverter. Through centralized BMS communication, the stacked modules create a unified high voltage DC bus connected directly to the inverter.
Compared with traditional low-voltage battery systems, this high voltage architecture significantly reduces current flow, minimizes cable losses, lowers heat generation, and improves overall inverter conversion efficiency. The modular stacking structure also ensures easier installation, simplified wiring, and flexible expansion capability for future energy demand growth.
High voltage battery systems are increasingly adopted in Vietnam due to their operational and technical advantages. By operating at higher voltage and lower current, the system reduces energy loss and enhances system efficiency. The cleaner wiring layout lowers installation complexity and overall project cost. In addition, high voltage systems offer stronger compatibility with HV inverters such as Deye, improving system stability and commissioning efficiency.
For installers and EPC companies, this means faster deployment, safer commissioning, and more convenient long-term maintenance through modular serviceability.
The 40kWh high voltage battery system was installed indoors with a compact footprint and optimized cable routing. Seamless communication between the battery BMS and the Deye inverter ensures stable charge and discharge performance under daily load cycles. The system is designed to support essential household or light commercial loads during grid outages, improving energy independence and operational security.
With Vietnam’s growing demand for reliable backup power and higher solar self-consumption rates, high voltage battery systems are becoming an ideal solution for both residential and small commercial users.
Since commissioning, the system has delivered reliable backup power during grid interruptions and improved solar energy utilization. Peak shaving functionality helps reduce electricity costs, while balanced module management ensures stable long-cycle performance and extended battery lifespan.
The modular 40kWh configuration also allows convenient future expansion, making it a future-ready energy storage investment.
This Vietnam project serves as a strong reference case for residential solar-plus-storage integration, light commercial backup power systems, and EPC teams deploying high voltage batteries with Deye inverters. As high voltage energy storage becomes mainstream, modular stacked systems like this represent the direction of next-generation battery design—efficient, scalable, and installation-friendly.
