Grytte Bloemenheuvel is an inspiring coworking location located in the former mayor's residence of Driebergen. The site brings together freelancers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in a shared workspace focused on entrepreneurship, collaboration, and sustainable innovation.
As the building transitioned toward higher electrification and improved energy efficiency, grid capacity limitations became a major obstacle to future expansion.
The facility operates under a grid transport capacity limit of 84kW, restricting further electrical load expansion. This limitation affected several planned upgrades, including:
Electric vehicle charging stations
Air conditioning systems
Heat pumps and electrified HVAC equipment
Without a structural solution, these constraints would limit scalability, operational flexibility, and long-term energy planning.
